Emergency Response 2026
The situation in Córdoba, northern Colombia, reached a critical level, requiring an immediate and compassionate emergency response. The region experienced unprecedented and prolonged rainfall, far exceeding historical norms. These extreme conditions caused widespread flooding across the department, with major rivers—including the Sinú River—rising to historic levels and overwhelming both natural waterways and man-made drainage systems. More than 17 municipalities and over 25,000 families were affected.
In response, portable water treatment systems were sent to the area, including a Passport Max unit to support an informal settlement in Sincelejo with approximately 3,000 residents. These systems proved highly effective, allowing local leaders to convert contaminated water into safe drinking water—providing immediate relief and establishing a reliable source of clean water for the community during a time of urgent need.

“After the floodwaters covered our homes, contaminated the water, and left us without food or hope, your support – including the arrival of portable water purification systems – reminded us that we were not alone. Through your compassion, the Lord brought safe water, encouragement, and strength in our darkest moment.”
